Approaches and methods in L2 teaching

Today was the second session of Paul's course. At the beginning of the class, we did a survey on our beliefs towards language acquisition using the app Socrative (another new app that I can use for my teaching!) It was a great surprise that the 14 of us had vastly diffferent responses. In fact, I would have answered differently to most of the statements if I had not had the actual teaching experience. So it prompts me to rethink about my attitude towards learning and teaching because the perspectives from which I choose will have a great impact on how students learn. Afterall, the aim of being a teacher is to help our students learn effectively. The six statements will be reflected upon again when I have free time!
