1.      Explore different tools to help students brainstorm and organize ideas

2.      Identify the main features of our approach to teaching writing and keep improving

3.      Focus on the process of writing but not only the product

4.      Be willing to try out different teaching approaches

5.      Include diversified grading criteria, such as creativity

6.      Avoid correcting too many writing mistakes but focus on the strengths

7.      Give timely constructive feedback to students
